Top 10 frequently asked questions
Q. If I call you today, what will the process be?
A. From the first telephone enquiry right through to the last site visit, you will receive our personal attention to detail. We will arrange to visit you at home, and together you will discuss your new kitchen requirements. It’s useful to consider in advance whether there’s anything about your existing kitchen that you’d like to change, so that we can accommodate any appliance, electrical or plumbing modifications. We will return with a plan and relevant materials, samples, colour swatches to assist the selection process, and help you see and feel the way your new kitchen could look.
Q. How long will my new kitchen transformation take?
A. Once your new kitchen plan is agreed, we will place your order. Depending on the complexity of your kitchen transformation, works typically take between 3 and 7 working days. You will be informed at every stage of the process and our workmen will be in contact at all times to advise you of progress, and of their arrival and departure times.
Q. Will I be without a kitchen during the makeover process?
A. We will do our very best to leave you with a working kitchen at all times. We understand how important it is for your life to continue during building works, and will do our very best to minimise any upheaval.
Q. We’ve just moved into a new house and the kitchen isn’t that old, but it’s not what I would have chosen for myself. What can you do?
A. This is when a kitchen makeover comes into its own, when there’s nothing ‘wrong’ with your old kitchen but you’d like it to look differently. We can easily change worktops and doors to quickly update the look of your kitchen, or we can rearrange your existing units to give a whole new feel to your home. So often, people think that they need a whole new kitchen when in fact the existing structure of their kitchen is sound and can easily be reused, saving you money and allowing a total transformation in just a few days.
Q. Can you help advise us on colours and styles?
A. Absolutely. The colour and style of your new kitchen is an enormous decision and we have an abundance of tools, swatches and suggestions to help you decide on the perfect colours, styles and materials to use. And be reassured that you won’t be rushed into any decisions on the spot. We want you to feel absolutely confident in your choices, and will provide you with as much support and consultation as required to get things right.
Q. My old kitchen is so dark, what can you suggest to make it look brighter?
A. There are many ways of making a room feel lighter and brighter. Pale units, neutral surfaces and reflective materials can all be built into the design, as well as integrated lighting techniques. We will also consider the layout of your kitchen to see if it can be opened up to allow more natural light to enter your kitchen, particularly wall units beside windows and doors.
Q. Do you use your own fitters?
A. Yes, we have spent many years building our own team of skilled fitters and quality craftsmen. Our team are polite, courteous and have high standards of cleanliness with a dedicated work ethic.
Q. Am I restricted to keeping the layout of my current kitchen?
